Twittering Tales #124 – 19 February 2019

like mercury colliding...

About the challenge: Each Tuesday I will provide a photo prompt. Your mission, if you choose to accept the challenge, is to tell a story in 280 characters or less. When you write your tale, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale. If you would prefer to post your tale in the comments (some people have very specific blog themes but still want to participate), I am happy to post a link to your site when I post your tale in the Round Up.

A final note: if you need help tracking the number of characters in your story, there is a nifty online tool that will count for you at charactercountonline.com.

I will do a roundup each Tuesday, along with providing a new prompt. And if for some reason I missed your entry in the Roundup, as I have occasionally…

FOWC with Fandango — Tacit

This, That, and The Other

FOWCWelcome to February 19, 2019 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “tacit.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

RDP Tuesday: garden

For Tuesday my Ragtag Daily Prompt is garden.

What sort of garden do you think of? Flowers, beer, kindergarten? Are you getting ready for spring now? Have you been planning a wonderful garden and do you keep a garden journal?

Tell us what garden means to you or what garden you dream of. Put it in a poem, a photograph, a story. Then set a pingback to this post and add the tags of “RDP”, Ragtag Daily Prompt” and “garden”. Don’t forget to read the contributions of others and let them know that you did! That is half the fun.

Have a delightful Tuesday.

Word of the Day: Desire

The Bag Lady

I have been rewatching a series on Netflix named “Lucifer”. It has everything: humor, action, music, fantasy.

Lucifer, being the devil, of course, was tired of his job as punisher in hell, so cut off his wings and came up to join us here on earth. He fell for a police detective and used his wiles to solve crimes. His greatest talent was confronting a suspect and asking them to reveal their deepest desires.

He is a greatpiano player, not too bad a singer and his “cover” is being a nightclub owner. It’s a bit intriguing and if you are suffering as I am, from the closed in cold weather, you might give it a look.
