remember the warm
blush of healing
after all the dark
secrets of men
come to light
the deepest peace
falls over me like
frost on blossoms

compare the moments,
each holding the full
promise of sweetness,
for some touch my soul
so deeply, they take
my breath away
do not urge me
from my lazing

Prehistoric, yet elegant in the air. Nobody can resist a Pelican.
The birds with the darker head are juveniles.
All the photographs here were taken near commercial shrimp boats. It’s like a free lunch when the boats return from fishing.
These birds were more than happy to wait around, even with me staring at them with a camera.
This was one of the first indications Dolphins might strand feed the other day. At first a few Dolphins were in the middle of the river mouth, staying deep.
I saw a shape a few yards off shore, then a Dolphin raised up, swam by looking at me and the shore line. This was close but the Dolphin made no move other than to move right along the shore.
I moved back a little to give them space if they did feed, also it reminded me how quickly things happen. With a big lens there is no way to capture anything that close. It’s over before you can focus.
