The more outlets creative individuals have, the better. We all have our niche, of course, be it writing, painting, or making music. But, we don’t need to stick to our specialty. In fact, it’s better to branch out. One creative outlet feeds another, and the more you use, the more complete your creative satisfaction will be.
Some alternatives can even help your primary pursuit. Blogging, for example, provides you with a new way to share what you love doing. If you write fiction, you could post pieces or speak about your writing process. If you love painting, you could develop a blog reviewing your favourite methods.
But, many creative individuals avoid the blogging world. Why? Because the idea of all that technology gives a lot of us a headache. Far from being an inspiration, it seems like a sure way to kill creativity. In truth, though, you may…

Hi, Story Empire fans. Craig here to kick off this point/counter-point post. This is something new for us, and we hope to have more posts like this. I’m on the side of free. My own blog, Entertaining Stories, is a free WordPress blog. WordPress provides me with multiple theme options, and those are highly customizable. They also provide widgets that allow me to add things like a slideshow of my covers, linked covers that go to the Amazon store, and…

The Guidelines are simple.
- Take the two words and write a Haiku. I use Haiku in Englishas my style, which is 5 syllables for the first line, 7 for the second, and 5 for the third, but you can use what you like. The link above has links within it to articles about how to write Haibun, Tanka, and even a new form I created called Freku. You can also do the 3/5/3 form if you likeinstead of the 5/7/5 that I usually use. Write, share, and have fun. For syllable help visit HowManySyllables.com. (You would be surprised at how many syllables some words actually have.)
- The two words can be used as you…

I loved this meal because it was one of our cook once, eat twice meals. Since we were already grilling it is super simple to add an extra steak (or two) to the grill for a second meal. That is generally how I get two meals out of one. Cooking extra meat is generally easy and to make it into a second dish a night or two later that is completely different from the meal before doesn’t make your family tired of eating “leftovers.”
This was a super simple meal on a busy night. When I first mentioned what I wanted to make for dinner I got the frown from my entire family. They thought we were grilling each individual lettuce leaf. No! You grill the Romaine hearts whole. It takes 2-3 minutes and is so easy and add a new flavor to the salad.
