While both yoga and Pilates take an integrated mind-body approach to fitness and well-being, their origins, approach to these objectives and methods differ greatly. The emergence of mind-body classes like Pi-Yo and Yogalates can make it difficult for people to distinguish between the two. Although the two can be pursued as complementary activities or integrated into one style, like Pi-Yo, they are not the same. It can be beneficial to practice each independent of the other and which one you practice depends on what you want to achieve. Origins Yoga Yoga is a spiritual practice with a physical aspect. It evolved in India 3,000 to 5, 000 years ago. Yogis, people who practice yoga, use breath work (pranayama), physical poses (asanas), meditation (dhyana) and personal practices to pursue the full integration of mind, body and spirit or samadhi. Samadhi refers to attaining the state of enlightenment, bliss, or union with the divine. Pilates Pilates emerged in the late 1900s, introduced to the world by its namesake, Joseph Pilates. Pilates developed his method as part of his efforts to heal himself. He suffered from physical weaknesses, rheumatic fever, asthma, and rickets, during his childhood. In his efforts to cure himself, he studied Eastern and Western forms of exercise, Greek and Roman exercise practices like wrestling, gymnastics and calisthenics as well as yoga. How Yoga and Pilates Differ In general, Western yoga practitioners are most familiar with the physical postures of yoga. Yoga postures, asanas, are only one component of an extensive system of philosophy, spiritual practices, and science. The poses are intended to build strength in the body and encourage mental focus. The asanas develop and strengthen every part of the body, joints, muscles, organs, glands, bones, and metabolism. During yoga, the breathing is deep and continuous linked to each movement and asana throughout the practice. Yoga’s extensive and currently exponential growth in popularity in Europe, the United States, and Canada supports the development of a broad range of yoga asana styles, including the more popular styles: • Ashtanga • Vinyasa • Anusara Hot Yoga • Yoga Therapy • Restorative • Chair Yoga • Bikram How Pilates Differs Pilates differs from yoga in several ways. Both yoga and Pilates focus on integrating the mind and body, but Pilates does not include any spiritual pursuits. It does generally increase practitioners’ sense of well-being, but this is not its primary purpose. Pilates also takes a less organic approach to movement. All Pilates exercises extend from the body’s core, also called the powerhouse. The powerhouse spans the center of the body from the pelvic floor to the top of the shoulders. Pilate’s practitioners focus on stabilizing the powerhouse and allowing other limbs to move freely to guide the body through the Pilates regimen of movements. Pilates also incorporates the use of exercise machines to offer support and take muscles through their full range of motion with optimal levels of extension and contraction. During Pilates, the breath is coordinated with the execution of each exercise. The primary focus of each move in Pilates is perfect execution, versus repetition of any particular move. The Mindfulness Element Of Yoga Overall, yoga offers more than 60 different health benefits for mind, body, and soul. It reaches into every aspect on one’s life and goes way beyond fitness and physical achievement. For example, the mindfulness approach taught in yoga that is not a part of Pilates helps one to improve many elements of life, including weight loss where getting in touch with the true needs of the body, such as hunger helps to reduce incidence of emotional eating or eating for any other reason but hunger. The mindfulness aspect of yoga can be viewed as “life skills” training. In addition, this training can help deter many emotional and mental health problems, and the associated physical manifestations that result from them. Mindfulness during yoga brings calm and peace to your mind, body, and life. Through the process, you become more in touch with how you really feel, and that includes symptoms of stress. Such a heightened state of awareness allows you to better manage the triggers and affects that stress can have, thereby allowing you to avoid its serious health complications. Many scientific studies have demonstrated the practice of mindfulness to have impressive and wide reaching benefits, including: • Greater sense of well-being • Stress and anxiety reduction • Better mood • Reducing risks for depression • Better immunity • Better social relationships • Improved cognition, memory and focus • Improved awareness of oneself • Improved ability to make decisions • Improved sleep • Reduction in chronic pain • Lower blood pressure and reduction in risk for heart disease • More enjoyment of life in general • Overall improvement in quality of life Why Choose? While yoga and Pilates provide similar benefits, a strong and toned body, endurance and a sense of well-being, their end goals differ. • Pilates focuses on strengthening and rehabilitating the body for optimal physical health; the mind or will is employed to achieve this goal. • Yoga's physical postures and breath exercises strengthen the body and discipline the mind in preparation for meditation and spiritual evolution. In short, Pilates is outwardly focused and yoga is inwardly focused. Making the choice between doing Pilates and practicing yoga comes down to one of intentions. If the intention is simply to form a strong and balanced body, Pilates will serve. If the intention is to achieve a strong and balanced physical body while gaining mental and spiritual benefits, pursue yoga. If both outcomes seem like something you would like to experience, try them both and see which one you find most accessible and beneficial. It just may turn out that you are not willing to let either one go.

Since you find such a rewarding hobby, you too become interested in it. You begin to wonder about how you can do it and what requirements there are for you to consider. Hydroponics Defined As defined, hydroponics is the technique of growing plants less the use of soil. Instead, an inert medium is utilized which therefore accommodates a nutrient solution that bears all of the essential elements which are essential in the normal progression of the plant. What You will Need for Hydroponic Gardening For your herb garden set up using the hydroponic method, you will have to prepare the following materials: A germination tray, closed tube, or seedbed Either artificial or natural light The base that may be stone, gravel, or coconut fiber The seeds and The nutrients Though some gardeners prefer to make the addition of air pump oxygen into the nutrients, it doesn't actually fall as a requirement in many cases. You can start your garden as soon as you have gathered the materials. What to do for Herb Gardening the Hydroponic Way What are you to do so you can push through with your plans of gardening without the use of soil? Here are a couple of steps to take note of. Think of the kind of bed that you intend to use. It is best to start out using the medium sized tray so that the roots will be sustained well. Put in another layer of the coconut fiber that will serve as a support. Don't put any of the nutrients yet. Be sure to have some opened channels where you will place the seeds. As soon as you have them embedded therein, be sure to close the channels. As soon as you have planted the seeds, water the tray until it is wet. Gauge the frequency of the adding of the nutrients. Basically, you need to regulate the PH balance which will aid in the plant's proper absorption of nutrients. Place the tray in a location where it can get enough light. The Advantages of Hydroponic Herb Garden Here are the following benefits that you may get out of gardening using the method of hydroponic. It lets the roots become moisturized all the time. It doesn't give you the problem of over-irrigation. It lessens chances of wasting water and fertilizer. It doesn't give you the problems with diseases as caused by pathogenic soils. It allows more plant production despite the weather. Furthermore, hydroponic herb gardening allows you to produce the plants though they are out of season in the greenhouses without having to worry about the use of soil, parasites, weeding, or the unpredictable weather conditions. With it, you don't need to worry much about raising the plants that you want all year round.
What is hydroponic gardening? Have you heard about it? If not, this article will enlighten you with some little but useful information and tips on how you can start one on your yard. For a start, it is a kind of gardening popular these days. Hydroponic gardening basically means that you grow plants without using any soil. If you have water, perlite, sand, and even gravel, you can start doing it. Whatever kind of plant you want to grow is possible with hydroponic. Flowers, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and others can be used for this gardening method. But in order for these plants to grow properly, you will need to provide them with the right amount of nutrients, sufficient light, and an exact medium where you can grow them just like what you would on plants grown on soil. If you are interested in this method of gardening, you can do the right thing by remembering the following tips. First is by having the perfect medium where your plants will be grown. It is required to be relatively perfect because the plants must have the proper growing anchor so they can store nutrients and water that they need. This is in exception to the plants arranged with their roots in water or air. Otherwise, if other systems are used, they need a medium that can water and air. Mixing perlinte and vermiculite is one of the good options because it works to retain water as well as keeps the air near the plant's roots. The second one is by having balanced nutrients. Hydroponic gardening is a popular method these days because the roots of the plants get to consume the nutrients immediately after they were delivered into them. Unlike when they are planted on a soil, the plants need to find the nutrients and will still need to break them down before they get the real benefits. With hydroponic gardening, the plants get to consume the nutrients more quickly because there is no need to undergo similar process. The result of which is that the plants are allowed to grow faster and may produce even more if correctly administered with said nutrients. It is important that the proper administration of nutrients is provided for hydroponic plants to grow effectively and properly. And the third requirement is by having enough light. Just like the soil gardening requiring sufficient light, hydroponic plants also require enough amount of light for their proper and effective growth. The lighting will depend on the kind of plants you have as well as the amount of money you are willing to spend. Some people use fluorescent grow lights while others do away with high pressure sodium bulb lights. High intensity discharge bulb lights are also used as metal halide bulb lights are. The fluorescent grow lights are your cheapest option, but if you want a more effective lighting you can opt for the other ones, which can be more expensive but will provide ample amount of light that your plants will need. With hydroponic gardening, anyone can grow plants as it is not that difficult to start one. By remembering the above tips, growing your own plants doesn't need to be complicated. In fact, it can be exciting and fun that even your children can do it.
You can shed tears that she is gone
On the other hand you can grin since she has lived
You can close your eyes and implore that she will return,
On the other hand you can open your eyes and see all that she has cleared out
Your heart can be vacant in light of the fact that you can’t see her
Alternately you can be brimming with the adoration that you shared
You can betray tomorrow and live yesterday
Alternately you can be glad for tomorrow due to yesterday
You can recollect her and just that she is no more
Then again you can treasure her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your psyche, be vacant and turn your back
On the other hand you can do what she would need: grin, open your eyes, love and go on.
